The cricket season commences on Saturday with Bury St Edmunds fielding there teams, a special attraction will be the appearance of former England spin bowler Monty Panesar who is due to make his debut for Great Witchingham in the East Anglian Premier League, the match is 50 overs per side commencing at 11.00 am. Bury St Edmunds welcome Nikethan Radhakrishnan whose brother played last season to the team. Bury's 2nd team travel the short distance to play Woolpit's 2nd team and on the second ground Bury's 3rd team are at home to Brightlingsea.
The club much appreciate all their sponsors with Greene King maintaining their support with The Holden Group supporting Junior Cricket and Byron Burgers providing a voucher to the young player each week.
